Alcohol & Speed Cited in Friday Injury Crash Near Wells

(Wells, MN) – A 47-year-old Alden man was hospitalized after one car crash just after 7:00 this morning west of Wells.

Authorities say Alex Thostenson was travelling eastbound on 180th Street when he lost control of his 2017 Dodge Challenger and it rolled.

Thostenson was taken to the Mayo hospital in Albert Lea and treated for his injuries.

The Faribault County Sheriff’s Office says alcohol and speed were contributing factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.

Assisting the Sheriff’s Office at the scene were the Wells Police Department, Wells Fire Department, Wells Ambulance, Gold Cross Ambulance and Mayo One.
