Charges: Gaylord Man Flashes His Junk to Passing Cars, Throws Knife at Deputy

(Gaylord, MN) – Criminal charges have been filed against a 22-year-old Gaylord man who allegedly threw a knife at a Sibley  County Sheriff’s Deputy. Sergio Omar Gonzalez Zamora is charged with 2nd degree assault and indecent exposure.

According to the complaint, authorities were called to the Casey’s in Gaylord on November 23rd because a man was said to be standing by the street and as cars drove by, he would pull down his pants and show them his penis.

The responding deputy confronted Gonzalez Zamora and ordered him to drop the knife he was holding. Gonzalez Zamora then allegedly threw the knife at the deputy, who was able to duck out of the way and shoot Gonzalez Zamora with a taser and take him into custody.

The deputy says Gonzalez Zamora smelled strongly of alcohol.
