High water forces Solstice Festival to relocate

Best friends during the festival time

(Mankato, MN) – Solstice Outdoor Music Festival found a way to go on as scheduled after Land of Memories Park was closed due high water levels.

The festival will now relocate to the Hub Food Park at 512 North Riverfront Drive.

Live music will begin Friday night at 6 p.m and continue into Saturday with 11 bands.  Limited “Urban Hipster” RV camping will be available in the Hubbard Mill parking lot.

Dain Fisher, co-owner of the event, said on Facebook that he received word around 3:30 Thursday afternoon about the park closure.  Fisher said it was great leadership from the Festival, Hub Food Park, and City of Mankato that made the last minute switch possible.

Visit the Solstice Outdoor Music Festival website for additional details.
