MANKATO: Visit Mankato talks taxes and community engagement at roundtable

MANKATO – 3/11/15

Visit Mankato scheduled a round table discussion about citywide taxes, job growth and community entertainment. Chris Willaert, Visit Mankato Sports Commission Director says there is a lot of concern around taxes as facilities are being updated and created around the Greater Mankato area.

“Everybody thinks, ‘you’re gonna make us pay more,’ no, we’re not asking you to pay more. We’re asking you to simply pay what you’re paying and to continue to.”

Willaert said there was a lot of discussion and planning around the opportunity for entertainment with sporting events as well as other community involvement. For more information, contact Visit Mankato at 385-6660.
