Scott Roemhildt is New Director of DNR’s Southern Region

(New Ulm, MN) – Scott Roemhildt has been named the new director for the southern region of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.

Roemhildt, who will be based in New Ulm, has been with the D-N-R since 2011. The Waseca County native most recently headed up the DNR’s Walk-In Access program, which he will continue to lead.

“It’s a big honor to accept this position,” said Roemhildt. “There’s a lot of work to do, but I look forward to doing that with the public as well as the many passionate and team members we’ve got within the D-N-R.”

Roemhildt takes over for Dennis Frederickson of New Ulm, who retired Feb. 6 after a 50-year career of public service, which included three decades as a State Senator.
