38 COVID-19 deaths over the weekend; hospitalizations decline

(St. Paul, MN) – The Minnesota Department of Health reported 38 new COVID-19 deaths over the weekend.

That brings Minnesota’s death toll to 1,186, since the first death in the state was recorded on March 21st.

Renville – 0
Rice – 3
Sibley – 0
Steele – 0
Waseca – 0
Watonwan – 0

Hospitalizations are slowly declining.  There were 450 people hospitalized Sunday, down 28 from Friday.  There are currently 199 people in the intensive care unit, according to MDH.

MDH says that 27,886 Minnesotans have tested positive for COVID-19.
