4 injured in 4-vehicle crash in Cottonwood Co

(Marshall, MN) –  Four people were injured in a crash involving four vehicles in Cottonwood County.

The crash happened on Highway 71 near Windom Friday evening just after 7:30 p.m., according to the state patrol.

A crash report says a Chevy Silverado was stopped in traffic to make a left-hand turn.  A second Chevy Silverado and a Dodge Durango were slowing for the turning pickup when a Dodge Neon struck the Durango and Silverado, which struck the turning vehicle.

Four people were injured in the crash.

Both Silverado drivers were injured, but were not hospitalized.  They were identified as Jose Luis Garza, 53, of St. James and Brett David Nolte, 34, of Windom.

The driver of the Dodge Neon was Mylus Chris Ayers, 26, of St. James, wasn’t injured.  The crash report says the Dodge was “unable to stop.”

The driver of the Durango was Sebastian Alex Reyes Vidales, 20, of Mountain Lake.  Vidales was not hospitalized, but 21-year-old female passenger was transported to Windom Hospital, according to the crash report.
