Akram Osman chosen as new Mankato East principal

Akram Osman will be the new principal at Mankato East School. 

Mankato Area Public Schools announced yesterday that Osman was selected from a talented candidate pool in a competitive process with participation from East High School representatives. 

Osman has a masters in special education and an educational specialist degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato.  He is currently the principal at Dakota Meadows Middle School.  He was previously a principal at Bloomington Kennedy High School.  Prior to becoming a school administrator, he was a special education teacher at Rosa Parks Elementary. 

Osman will begin his new role at East High School on July 1.
