(Duluth) – Alcohol was involved when a child and two adults were killed in a wrong way crash in northern Minnesota.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported that 23-year-old Aaron David Dame was under the influence of alcohol the crash occurred. Dame, from Duluth was driving north in the southbound lanes of I-35 when he crashed into a GMC Yukon that was heading south.
Dame and the driver of the Yukon, 26-year-old Duanda Letrice Robinson, of Duluth were both killed. Robinson’s passenger, 2-year-old Damiah Anne Anderson was also fatally injured.
Two other passengers in the Yukon suffered non-life threatening injuries. A 22-year-old female who was a passenger in Dame’s vehicle was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
A similar crash occurred in southern Minnesota last November, when a woman driving the wrong way on Highway 22 collided with another vehicle.
