A suspect wanted for attempted murder was arrested in Redwood County after a pursuit early Tuesday morning.

At 3:42 a.m., Redwood County Sheriff’s deputies tried to stop a vehicle near MNTH 19 and Knox Ave for failing to display license plates.

A press release says the vehicle failed to stop and led deputies on a three-mile pursuit before hitting stop sticks that had been set up by the Redwood Falls Police Department.

The vehicle traveled another mile at high speeds before a front tire blew out, forcing a stop, according to the release.

The Redwood County Sheriff’s Office says the driver is a suspect wanted for felony first-degree assault and felony attempted murder.
