BCA investigating hoax school shooting calls

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating a number of recent hoax school shooting calls.
The BCA says eight of the hoax calls were made over the past two days and all appear to have been made by the same person. The caller used a voiceover IP to make the calls.
In 2022, Minnesota saw 27 hoax school shooting calls, including one at Mankato West last September.
The BCA’s Fusion Center is continuing to investigate the matter.
