(Mankato, MN)  – The new addition to the Blue Earth County Government Center has opened.

The 37,000 square foot addition will house much of the county’s human services department, including a new women, infant, and children’s clinic.

Child Protection is still temporarily located at the Blue Earth County Justice Center.

The addition is part of a project that includes a new parking ramp – which recently opened – and construction on the existing building, which begins next week.

The license center will continue to operate out of its renovated location within the existing building during construction.

Visitors to the license center should park on 5th Street.  There is no access from the parking ramp.  Access is through Door B.

WIC visitors should park in the ramp and look for signs.  Access is through Door D.

Visitors to human services can park on 5th Street or in the ramp.  Access is through Door A, C, or F.
