(Mankato, MN) – It’s a long, late night of reflection for cancer survivors, their family, and friends.

The Blue Earth County Relay for Life kicks off Friday, July 19th at Sibley Park.

The opening ceremony starts at 6 p.m. and starts the event by honoring everyone who’s been affected by cancer, followed by the survivor and caregiver walk.

The luminaria ceremony later in the evening will light up the night with each light representing the life of everyone touched by cancer – a life taken by cancer, a survivor of cancer, or support for a person still fighting the disease.

Luminaria can still be purchased online for dedication to a loved one. at the Blue Earth County Relay for Life.
