Blue Earth County resident among 14 COVID-19 deaths reported over the weekend
(Mankato, MN) – A Blue Earth County resident was among 14 COVID-19 deaths reported by the Minnesota Department of Health over the weekend.
The resident who died was in their 60’s, according to MDH. The weekend deaths bring Minnesota’s death toll to 1,614.
On Sunday, 769 new COVID-19 cases were reported. The state has now recorded a total of 55,947 positive cases of the virus. Of those cases, 6,383 are healthcare workers, according to MDH.
The number of patients in intensive care stayed at 149 Sunday, the same as Saturday. But the overall number of hospitalizations for the virus dropped slightly, from 317 to 302.
