(St. Peter, MN) – A long-time eyesore in St. Peter will soon become a caffeinated haven.

Caribou Coffee will open a second location in St. Peter at the North Minnesota and Ramsey Street intersection, the site of the former Shell gas station.  The new coffee spot will have a drive-thru, a feature sure to encourage Minnesotans to make their coffee stops in winter.

The original St. Peter Caribou is located in the Family Fresh Market.

Matt Brostrom, President of KMT LLC, the investment group that purchased the property in 2017, confirmed that the company will build on the lot and Caribou will rent the property.  The old gas station building has been razed to make way for a new structure.

Brostrom said the new Caribou will open in November.
