Charges: Blue Earth man admits to sex with teen
A Blue Earth man has been charged with sex crimes after he allegedly admitted to having sex with a teen girl.
Casey John Thompson, 20, was charged in Martin County Court with felony third-degree criminal sexual conduct Monday.
Court documents say police were called Feb 6 at 8 p.m. to a report of a suspicious male in a pickup in a church parking lot. The driver was lingering in the area and had disregarded a stop sign, according to the complainant.
Police made contact with the suspect, identified as Thompson, and asked him to leave the area, according to the criminal complaint.
At 8:36 p.m., officers were informed that Thompson had returned to the area. Police were also made aware that Thompson could be having relationship issues with a 13-year-old female who lived in the area, says the complaint.
Police again made contact with Thompson, who became upset and punched his truck toolbox with full force when asked if he was waiting for the 13-year-old to get into his truck.
In an interview with police, Thompson admitted to intercourse and other sexual acts with the 13-year-old victim. Thompson was aware it was illegal to have sex with her, according to the complaint.
The victim also admitted to having sex with Thompson in late January at Gomsrud Park.
