Charges: Drunken Good Thunder man beat Buick with Shop Vac
(Mankato, MN) – A Good Thunder man was arrested Saturday, accused of beating a woman’s vehicle while on a drunken rampage.
Travis Colt Oliver, 29, was charged in Blue Earth County District Court Monday with first and third-degree damage to property. The first-degree count is a felony.
According to the criminal complaint, a family member of Oliver called police Saturday evening to report that he was intoxicated and scaring people with his yelling. He also was carrying a BB gun, according to the complaint.
Oliver told police he and his girlfriend had argued about his drinking and that she attacked him when he told her and the vehicle owner to leave. Police observed scratch marks on his face.

The vehicle owner told police that Oliver gets drunk and aggressive with everyone. According to the woman, his girlfriend had scratched him in self-defense, and she helped pull Oliver off his girlfriend. She had not been aware that her vehicle had been damaged until police explained her vehicle to her, according to the complaint.
