(Mankato, MN) – A Redwood Falls woman faces criminal charges, accused of stealing from an adult store in Mankato and giving law enforcement her sister’s name when they busted her for the crime.

Tia Lynn Majors, 24, is charged with giving a peace officer a false name, a gross misdemeanor, and misdemeanor theft.

According to the criminal complaint, Mankato police were dispatched on April 28 to Pure Pleasure, where a female later identified as Majors had been detained by alarm-activated doors for stealing “high climax female-stimulating cream.”  The item was valued at $34.99.  Majors admitted she’d tried to steal the product, according to the complaint.  She gave police the name and date of birth of her sister and was issued a citation.

The complaint says that in August of 2018, Majors’ sister was pulled over on a traffic stop and advised she had a warrant for her arrest related to the Pure Pleasure theft.   The sister appeared in court and reported to police that she had been working at a Redwood Falls furniture store on the date the incident had happened.  The sister spoke to Majors, who admitted she’d stolen the item at Pure Pleasure and used the sister’s name.

Police later reviewed photographs from Pure Pleasure and matched Majors’ driver’s license photo to that of the April 28 Pure Pleasure thief, according to the complaint.
