Country star Billy Currington coming to Mankato

Country star Billy Currington is coming to Mankato.

Currington will perform at the Vetter Stone Amphitheater on Saturday, September 23 with special guests Eli Young Band and Hannah Ellis.  Tickets go on sale Friday, March 31 at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster and online at Pepper Entertainment.

Georgia native Billy Currington burst onto the music scene with his self-titled debut album in 2003.  He’s scored eleven career #1 singles, most recently, “Don’t Hurt Like it Used To.”  He won “Hottest Video of the Year,” honor at the fan-voted CMT Music Awards for “Must Be Doin’ Somethin’ Right” in 2006.  He’s also been nominated for awards from the ACM and the Grammys.

Eli Young Band is a band of brothers who play their own instruments, write their own songs, and cling fast to their Texas roots.  The band has four #1 singles propelled by the grassroots fan base.

Kentucky native Hannah Ellis was named Rolling Stone Country’s “Artist to Watch.”

Tickets start at $35 plus fees.
