COVID Monday: 13 deaths, 3,000-plus new infections

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 13 new COVID-19 deaths Monday, along with another 3,148 new infections.

The latest deaths bring Minnesota’s death toll to 5,443. Seven of Monday’s deaths involved long-term care or assisted living facility residents, while five were private residents. One of the deaths involved a person living in a hotel or motel.

MDH’s Response Capacity report shows that 810 patients are hospitalized with COVID-19, including 156 in intensive care
