Crews respond to house fire on Mound Ave

Mankato Public Safety responded Monday to a fire on the 300 block of Mound Ave.

Crews found heavy smoke coming from the roof of the home when they arrived on the scene shortly after noon. 

Firefighters helped everyone get out of the building safely and extinguished the fire.

No injuries were reported. 

Damages are estimated at about $100,000.  The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
