(Mankato, MN) – The Minnesota Department of Transportation says a safety improvement project will see delineator posts installed along all unlighted, four-lane rural highways.

Starting May 20th, a MnDOT contractor will install nearly 6,000 posts, beginning with I-90.  Portions of other highways scheduled for work throughout the summer-long project will be Highway 14, Highway 60, and Highway 169.

The project aims to provide visual separation between the road and the surrounding land through the use of a diamond-shaped reflector at the top of each post.  The statewide project began in the fall of 2018 and will be completed by the end of the summer.
