Driver killed in Superior bridge plunge

SUPERIOR, Wis. (AP) — Police say a motorist has died after his vehicle plunged from an icy bridge in northwestern Wisconsin.
Authorities a 60-year-old driver died Monday morning when his vehicle went over a railing on Belknap Street-Highway 2 viaduct in Superior and crashed about 35 feet below.
Police say the road was ice-covered and slippery at the time of the crash about 8 a.m. The Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating.
