Nicollet-Sibley farmers hosting 2nd annual Sunday Fun Day

Soybeans are one of Minnesota’s most resourceful crops. That’s why they’re called the “Miracle Bean.” When it comes to soybeans, often times the versatility and impact of the crop are overlooked. Soybeans provide both oil and protein for humans and animals alike.

The Soy Sunday Fun Day, which was first held in 2022, will highlight several soy-based products and end uses by allowing attendees to create a charcuterie board using soy-based stains and sealants. Attendees will also enjoy various cheeses during a personalized cheese class.

“We invite others to enjoy a free, fun, interactive, and educational day learning about soy and all it has to offer,” said Kelsey Henke, secretary of the Nicollet-Sibley County Corn & Soybean Board. “We hope to have a wide variety of consumers attend to learn more about the product we grow.”
