VINE OFFERING FREE ARTHRITIS PROGRAM
April 3 @ 11:30 am - May 11 @ 12:30 pm

Arthritis affects many people and is on the rise in the United States. Currently, 1 in 4 adults, more than 58 million Americans are living with arthritis. VINE is offering a free 6-week evidence-based program for those suffering from arthritis this spring. Walk with Ease, a free program from the Arthritis Foundation proven to reduce pain while improving overall health has been offered at VINE since 2019. The program helps participants get into shape, walk more comfortably, improve their flexibility, and reduce pain caused by arthritis.
Participants will meet on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, April 3 – May 11, from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm at the VINE Adult Community Center with Jen Wunderlich, VINE’s Health and Fitness Center Manager. Walk with Ease provides health education, motivation, and tips to safely make walking a part of everyday life.
“Not only is the program a great way to get active, but it will also be an opportunity for people to connect with their peers who are encountering similar circumstances,” Wunderlich said.
Those interested in signing up for the Walk with Ease program must be capable of standing on their feet for 10 minutes or more without pain.
More information about the program, including how to sign up, can be found online at vinevolunteers.org or by calling (507) 386-5588.
