(Faribault, MN) – A popular hunting guide killed in a towing accident during last weekend’s blizzard will be laid to rest this weekend.

Funeral services for Travis Pineur, 33, will be held on Saturday, March 2 at 11 a.m. at Our Savior’s Luthern Church in Faribault.

Pineur was killed after a vehicle hitch broke and catapulted through his pickup window, striking him in the head and causing severe injury.  He later succumbed to his injuries at Hennepin County Medical Center.

Pineur was born in Faribault and graduated from Faribault Senior High School in 2004.  Following high school, he worked as a guide in Idaho and Wyoming before starting his own guide service, Nomad Adventures. “This was the beginning of his adventure and passion that took him from the top of the world to the bottom of the world,” says the obit.

Pineur is survived by his wife Megan, his parents, and many other family members.
