(Mankato, MN) – A Gaylord woman was hurt in a traffic crash in Mcleod County while a tornado was hitting the area Sunday.

The state patrol says at 3:32 p.m. an SUV driven by 25-year-old Gustavo Ramos of Gaylord was southbound on Highway 22, north of Biscay, when a tornado was spotted in the area. Ramos did a U-turn and was hit by a southbound semi driven by 60-year-old Aleksandr Levchenko of Sioux Falls.

Neither driver was hurt, but a passenger in the SUV, 20-year-old Anahi Rodriguez of Gaylord was taken to the Hutchinson hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
