(Minneapolis, MN)- General Mills has announced a voluntarily recall of select bags of Gold Medal Flour.

In a press release, the company said that five-pound bags of Gold Medal Unbleached Flour are being recalled due to the potential presence of Salmonella.  There has been no confirmed illness related to the product to date.

The recall affects only bags of Gold Medal Unbleached Flour with a date code of “better if used by April 20, 2020.”

Consumers should check their food stores and dispose of any recalled product.  Any other types of Gold Medal Four are not affected by the recall.  Anyone who has had to throw away product because of the recall can visit the General Mills website for more information.

Healthy people infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain.
