Goo Goo Dolls to play Mankato

Icon 90’s band the Goo Goo Dolls will play Mankato late this summer.

The band’s The Big Night Out Tour with Fitz and the Tantrums will make a stop at the Vetter Stone Amphitheater on Monday, September 18.  Tickets go on sale Friday, February 17.

The Goo Goo Dolls formed in Buffalo, NY in 1986.  The group has garnered four Grammy Award nominations, and nearly a dozen platinum and good singles,  including the indelible hit “Iris,” which eclipsed 1 billion streams on Spotify last year.

The band is partnering with Joe Torre Safe At Home, a nonprofit that provides healing and education services to youth who have been traumatized by exposure to domestic violence, child abuse, teen dating abuse, and sexual assault.

Fitz and the Tantrums is a Los Angeles collective with a catalog of fan-favorite records, such as Pickin’ up the Pieces, More Than Just a Dream, and All the Feels.
