Hastings man arrested in Mankato for selling 14 grams of meth

38-year-old DeAngelas Cook of Hastings was busted by an anti drug task force on Monday when he tried to sell meth to a confidential informant, according to the criminal complaint.

The informant contacted a local drug task force and set up a controlled purchase of  14.1 ounces of meth at the Shell truck stop in Mankato. Authorities instructed the informant to pretend he or she had car trouble and to enter Cooks vehicle when the sale was complete.

After the deal, agents arrested Cook and the Blue Earth County Jail Roster registered him as admitted at around 10:30 p.m. Cook has two prior arrests for dealing drugs.
