(Mankato, MN) – The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating an injury crash in the eastbound lanes of Highway 14 in North Mankato.

Three people, including a child, were involved in the crash, but details of the injuries haven’t yet be released.

According to the crash report, a 41-year-old Mankato woman driving a GMC Yukon was slowing to avoid another crash when a 2002 Honda Accord struck the Yukon from behind while attempting to slow down.  The 38-year-old Madison Lake woman driving the Accord had a one-year-old boy in the vehicle.

The state patrol says the highway was snow and ice covered when the crash happened, around 8:12 a.m.

Names will be released later today.
