Hy-Vee to limit meat purchases
May 6, 2020 7:30AM CDT
(West Des Moines, IA) – Hy-Vee says its stores will limit the amount of meat customers can purchase in a single visit.
In a press release, the Iowa-based grocer says the change is due to worker shortages at plants, as well as an increase in meat sales.
Under the policy, each customer will be limited to four packages of meat – including fresh beef, ground beef, pork and chicken – when they check out at any Hy-Vee store.
The new policy went into effect May 5.
