(Barron, WI) – The Barron County Sheriff says Jayme Closs has been found alive in Wisconsin.

The 13-year-old was reportedly found Thursday evening in Douglas County, which is north of Barron.  A suspect was taken into custody in connection with the case.

Closs had been missing since the murder of her parents at their Barron home on October 15, 2018.

In a Facebook post, Barron County Sheriff Scott Fitzgerald said the case is “very fluid and active.”  He stressed they wouldn’t be answering questions this evening, but will hold a press conference at approximately 10 a.m. tomorrow.

The FBI and Wisconsin DCI agents will assist in the investigation.
