(Mankato, MN) – Extensive repair work begins Tuesday on Highway 169 north of St. Peter.

Motorists can expect at least one more week of lane restrictions on the highway about a mile north of St. Peter.  Southbound lane restrictions were put in place in early November.  The roadway shoulders and guardrails were failing due to sub-surface water issues.  MnDOT engineers needed to investigate and develop a plan for the repairs.

Highway 169 lane restrictions south of St. Peter near Seven Mile Park have been in place since mid-October for culvert work.  Weather delayed the project, but restrictions are expected to be removed by Friday, November 22.
