Le Sueur Henderson approves bond referendum

Le Sueur-Henderson will get a new elementary school building that will be located on the same campus as the middle and senior high schools. 

Voters in the district passed a $39.9 million bond referendum Tuesday, but shot down an upgrade measure that would have provided infrastructure improvements at the middle school and high school.

Property taxes will be increased next year to pay for the elementary school project.  Park Elementary, which is 92 years old, will be demolished.  The new building will open in fall 2024.
