Level 3 sex offender moving to Waseca

A Level 3 sex offender has made his home in Waseca.

Kevin Lee Johnson, 51, moved to the 600 block of 4th Ave SE on Thursday, according to a notification from Waseca Police.

Johnson was released from prison in 2015.  Police say he has a history of engaging in sexual contact with female children and female adults known to him.  He used force and manipulation to gain compliance from his victims, and the contact included sexual touching, according to the notification.

Minnesota law does not allow law enforcement to direct where an offender resides or works.

A public notification meeting will not be held due to the pandemic.
