Mack Truck rear ends semi in Nicollet County

(New Ulm, MN) – An Iowa man was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a Mack truck rear ended a Freightliner semi at the intersection of Highways 14 and 15 near New Ulm.

Both vehicles were southbound on Highway 15 on Monday at 3:45 p.m.  The Freightliner, driven by 56-year-old David Rico of Cedar Falls, IA was at a stop sign preparing to turn left on to Highway 14.  He was hit from behind by a Freightliner semi driven by 63-year-old Joel Krumrey of Renville.

Rico was transported to New Ulm Medical Center.
