Madelia Health to open St. James clinic

Madelia Health will open a new family medicine clinic in St. James. 

The clinic will be located downtown in the former St. James Federal Savings and Loan Association building.  Construction will begin this winter.

“For years, many of our current patients from St. James have been requesting that we start a clinic in their town. Our successes in Madelia and then in Lake Crystal and Truman have enabled us to expand services to yet another rural community,” said David Walz, CEO of Madelia Health.

A primary care provider will be available at the new clinic Monday through Friday for patients of all ages. Care will be provided for acute illnesses and minor injuries, chronic disease, medication management, preventative health care, and more. 

The clinic is expected to open late this summer.

Madelia Health was awarded one of the Top 20 Hospitals in the country by the National Rural Health Association (NRHA) for Patient Experience for three years in a row. Madelia Health also operates a pharmacy, clinic, and physical therapy office in Lake Crystal, a family medicine clinic in Truman, and a full-service hospital with lab, radiology, physical therapy, and surgery services just down the road in Madelia.
