Man hospitalized after getting ‘buried’ at Faribault County concrete plant
(Blue Earth, MN) – A man was hospitalized after he was buried by a sand mixture at a concrete plant in Faribault County.
A release from Sheriff Michael Gormley says 32-year-old Dustin David Rosel of New Hampton, Iowa was attempting to free a plugged spout when he was buried by the mixture on July 31st at 4:30 p.m.
The incident happened at Croell, Inc., a concrete batch plant north of Guckeen, on County Road 1 just south of I-90.
The sheriff’s office says Rosel had been unearthed from the debris pile by his co-workers by the time they responded. He was then airlifted from the scene by a Mayo 3 flight crew.
The extent of Rosel’s injuries are not known.
