Man killed by fallen branch identified as rural Fairfax man

The man killed by a fallen tree branch Tuesday was a rural Fairfax man.

Blair Anderson, 69, was identified as the deceased by the Renville County Sheriff’s Office.

Anderson was cutting down several trees in a grove on a rural farm site southwest of Olivia when a large branch connected to another tree broke off and struck him.  He was wearing head, eye, and ear protection, according to the sheriff’s office.
