Mankato Area Public School Board member resigns

A Mankato Area Public School Board member has announced his resignation, effective Tuesday. 

Kenneth Reid is relocating to Duluth, where he’s been hired as an Associate Vice President of Academic & Student Affairs at Lake Superior College. 

Reid began serving on the board in 2020 and was Vice-Chair. 

An eligible school district resident will be appointed by the board to complete Reid’s term, which expires in December 2024.  Applications are being accepted now through May 17 and are available in the district office in the Intergovernmental Center. 

The new member will be selected by the board at the June 6 meeting and seated on July 18.
