Mankato driver injured in St. Peter crash

Alcohol was detected in a Mankato driver injured in a St. Peter crash early Saturday morning, according to a state patrol report.

Alberto Javier Apalacios, 31, was transported to a Mankato hospital with non-life threatening injuries after the single-vehicle crash, which happened at 1:35 a.m.

The crash report says Apalacios’ Dodge Charger was southbound on Highway 169 when it went into the ditch at Highway 22.

It’s unknown whether Apalacios was wearing his seat belt. The patrol’s crash report indicates that alcohol was involved.

The St. Peter Police Department, Nicollet County Sheriff, and Allina Ambulance assisted at the scene.
