Mankato man hospitalized following Dodge County deer vs. motorcycle crash

(Mankato, MN) – A Mankato man was hospitalized after his motorcycle struck a deer in Dodge County Sunday morning.
Fifty-seven-year-old Dean Scot Aarsvold was northbound on Highway 56 south of Dodge Center on a 2014 Harley Davidson FXDB when the bike collided with a deer that was crossing the road.
Aarsvold was transported to an Owatonna health care facility with non-life threatening injuries. He was not wearing a helmet, according to the state patrol.
The state patrol notes the crash time as 6:37 a.m.
