Mankato mayor announces he won’t run for re-election

(Mankato, MN) – Mankato mayor Eric Anderson announced at the adjournment of last night’s city council meeting that he won’t run for re-election.

“I don’t intend to run for office again.  So I just wanted to get that out there now,” Anderson said.

The mayor had hinted on a recent Facebook post that he might not seek the seat again, and said Monday night of his decision: “it’s official.”
