Minnesota surpasses 56,000 COVID-19 cases

(St. Paul, MN) – There were 622 new confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 reported by the Minnesota Department of Health Monday, bringing the state total beyond 56,000.

State health officials also reported two new deaths, both coming out of private residences.  Minnesota’s death toll inched up to 1,616.

MDH says there are 303 hospitalizations, the same as Sunday.  But there are four more patients in intensive care than Sunday, and four fewer hospitalized, (not in ICU)  compared to the previous report.
