MnDOT crews repairing pavement buckles on two highways

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says crews are repairing two southern Minnesota roads after the pavement buckled.
The first area is on Highway 169 south of St. Peter on the southbound side of the highway, according to MnDOT.

A crew is also working on a buckled area east of Windom on Highway 60 in the eastbound lanes.
Southern Minnesota was under an excessive heat warning Monday and a heat advisory over the weekend. High temperatures can cause roadway surfaces to buckle.
We have a couple pavement buckles out there currently. The picture on the left is on Hwy 169 south of St.Peter going southbound. The one on the right is East of Windom on Hwy 60 going eastbound. Crews are currently starting repairs on these areas. pic.twitter.com/WMQJIgTF2A
