MnDOT hosting open house for I-90 project
The Minnesota Department of Transportation will host a public open house next week in Blue Earth for a two-year I-90 construction project.
The in-person event is Thursday, April 6 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Talents Art Center. Attendees can arrive anytime to learn about the upcoming project, and no formal presentation is planned.
About 20 miles of I-90 will be resurfaced from two miles west of Highway 169 in Blue Earth to Highway 22 in Wells. Construction is expected to begin in mid-April, weather permitting.
While I–90 traffic will be maintained with two-way traffic, with one lane in each direction in the eastbound lanes, ramps at interchanges will be closed at varying times during construction. The westbound I–90 rest area located just west of Blue Earth will also be temporarily closed for approximately two months during this year’s construction project. Visit the I–90 project website for detour information.
