UPDATE: Motorcyclist killed in crash north of Mankato identified

(Mankato, MN) – The Blue Earth County Sheriff’s office has identified a motorcyclist killed Tuesday in a crash north of Mankato as Michael John Borresen-Berg, 40, of rural Mankato.

The Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Sheriff’s office reports the crash happened at 3:19 p.m. on County Rd 5 at 231st Lane.  Borresen-Berg was traveling south on County Road 5, and a Ford pickup pulling a trailer was northbound when the two vehicles collided.

Borresen-Berg was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

The pickup driver was identified as 61-year-old Raymond Arthur Nourie of rural Nicollet.  Nourie wasn’t injured in the crash.

The sheriff’s office will continue to investigate the crash with assistance from the state patrol.
