No Powerball winner Monday; jackpot climbs to $1 billion

There was no winner in Monday night’s Powerball drawing.

The jackpot rose to an estimated $1 billion after no one hit all six numbers for the $900 million drawing, the third-largest in Powerball history.

The winning numbers were: 05 08 09 17 41 (21)

Eight tickets matched all five white ball numbers to win $1 million.

The next drawing will be held Wednesday night.  It will be the third time in Powerball history that the jackpot has reached $1 billion.
