(North Mankato, MN) – North Mankato residents can now receive public alerts from the city electronically.

The city will now send important advisories, community updates, and official information via text message and email.  The program is through Everbridge Nixle, a mass communications service.

Notifications sent to residents electronically would include snow emergencies, weather, and other emergencies.  Residents will also have the option to sign up for community events sponsored by North Mankato, events at the Taylor Library, Caswell Sports events, and construction and traffic alerts.

To sign up for alerts, text 56003 to 888777, sign up online, or call (507) 625-4140.
